Sound Box

Music that knows what is coming.

The half hour before a game is when an athlete decides how they are going to play it. Sound Box asks three questions — how do you feel, what is ahead, how long have you got — and builds the listening session for that specific moment.

Not a playlist. A session.

  • It starts from a state

Where they are, not what they like.

A nervous athlete two hours from a final and a flat athlete with twenty minutes before training need opposite things. Sound Box asks, then builds accordingly.

  • It builds a path

One track leads to the next.

Each track is chosen to pick up where the last one left the athlete, so the session moves them somewhere rather than shuffling songs that happen to suit a mood.

  • It repeats exactly

The same answers give the same session.

Nothing is random. An athlete who found something that worked before a good game can get that same session again, which is the whole point of a routine.

How a session gets built.

  1. Three questions

How you feel right now. What you are about to do. How many minutes you have. That is the whole input.

  2. It builds the session

Tracks are chosen and ordered to fit the time you gave it and to carry you from where you are to where that situation needs you.

  3. A countdown, then the room

Five to one on the screen, and the session starts. Sound Box is an environment rather than a player — the stage responds to what is playing.

  4. It remembers

A finished session is saved with what you asked for and how you rated it, so a routine that works can be found again.

Where it lives.

Sound Box is one of the modes inside XquiX Studio, alongside Coaching, Studio, Practice and the Game Tracker. It opens from the same place they do — there is nothing separate to install or sign into.

It is built for the athlete rather than the coach. A coach can open it and use it themselves, but the person it is designed around is the one with a game in two hours.

  • One music collection is live today, with more being added
  • Sessions are saved to the athlete’s own account and are private to them
  • It runs in the browser, on a phone as well as a laptop

Still being built.

Sound Box is in the Studio now and it works — the questions, the session it builds, the playback and the way the room reacts to the music are all real and usable today.

What is still moving is how it looks. The environment is being rebuilt properly, and until that lands you will find something that works but does not yet look finished. We would rather say that here than have you discover it.

Open the Studio and try it.

Sound Box is included in every plan, free ones as well. It takes one session to know whether it does anything for you.
